    Landscapes

    I’ve posted a few landscapes taken in the last week. The tree is in Cumbria, taken in light rain, before the weather really closed in! The moorland pictures are Saddleworth Moor, as the sun was just cutting through the mist on Thursday morning 13th March…a lovely day to be up on the moor, calm and comfortably warm for mid-March…a day when it feels great to be outside.

  • Chains and Tears

    The beautiful Rachel wearing her chain mail head-dress…looks a bit medieval to me, so I added a castle… 😉 This is the first “creation” I made using a graphics tablet and pen. It felt a bit strange, but I was able to paint in hair much more easily than with a mouse. I need a lot more practice, but think I’m going to like working with a tablet!  

  • My first year with Wigan 10

    What a week it has been to round off my first year with Wigan 10. At the end of last week, we heard that we had won the second round in our section of the PSA International Interclub Nature competitions…a very pleasing result in our first season. We are also leading in our section in the Creative competitions. Last weekend, some of my team-mates from Wigan 10 spent a weekend in Paris as guests of FIAP, to be presented with the World Cup for Clubs. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go but spent a superb weekend judging the Southport Open with fellow judges Leigh Preston and Richard Speirs. The weekend rounded up…
