    Humber Estuary at Cleethorpes

    A couple of weeks ago I was invited to help open the joint Exhibition of Cleethorpes Camera Club and Grimsby Photographic Society and to speak at each of the Cleethorpes clubs on the following two days.   • Appleby Horse Fair

    A few riders from the Appleby Horse Fair. Every June Gypsies and Travellers from the UK and Ireland gather to buy and sell horses at Appleby in Westmorland…a custom that has lasted since 1775. At certain times, the horses are brought down to the river Eden to be hand-washed or ridden through the water before being sold.     Visit to Malta, June 2015 Malta I was lucky enough to be invited to Malta as the guest judge and speaker at the Malta Photographic Society in Valletta. We spent six days there in June and our hosts were most generous in taking us around the islands and taking care of all our needs. Whilst many British people, arriving for the first time in Malta, might expect it to seem rather British, in fact, it does not!
