I was delighted to meet a very talented artist recently in the persona of Professor Cornelius Nocturne and have taken a few liberties with my portrait of him with his Time Machine, but I hope that he will approve!

Season of Mist
We’ve had a wonderful few days of early autumn sunshine but this morning brought our first autumnal fog. A little exposure compensation is needed for taking pictures in fog as the automatic metering in the camera integrates to grey, so I added one stop and that seemed about right. I didn’t find the conditions spectacular as they can be during a temperature inversion, but I love Saddleworth Moor and Binn Green, so I just captured a few pictures. Click to enlarge.

Fellowship BPE presentation
Spent a lovely afternoon on Saturday at the sRGB Group Exhibition in Southport, shared lunch with good friends and was presented with my Fellowship BPE Award. Thanks to Terry Donnelly for providing the photograph. Terry was also presented with his FBPE award on the same day…which was nice!
