Tandle Hill is a country park in Royton, overlooking Higginshaw, Oldham and Rochdale. There are about 110 acres of open grassland and dense beech woods and it's a good place to walk and to photograph the carpet of beech leaves in autumn.

I don't normally do early morning. However, this morning, with a promise of frost, sun and autumn colours, I decided to get up early to photograph Dovestone, less than a couple of miles from home.
