    Edinburgh Photographic Society hold a prestigious international open exhibition each year and this year is their 150th!!! To mark this, they have struck a special commemorative medal and everyone who has a print accepted will receive one. Rumour has it that only 7.9% of prints entered were accepted this year. I was very pleased to hear that my print “Gerbera” was included and also was awarded a PAGB Gold Medal by exhibition selector Gabriel O’Shaughnessy.     I always use PermaJet papers for my images and they give superb results in my Exhibition work. Mostly I use Smooth Art Silk and the textured fine art series of papers, which suit my work well.  If you are unsure which paper to buy, PermaJet also do sample packs to help you to find your favourite papers and you can download free ICC profiles from the web site (see links below).   • Master of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (MPAGB) Award

    MPAGB One of my ambitions for the last few years has been to achieve the Master Award of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (MPAGB). The definition of this award is “a very high standard of photography, images which, in their opinion (i.e. the judges), would enjoy a considerable level of success in International Exhibitions, including consistent and frequent acceptances….and…must be of an exceptional standard.” Twenty images are required, in my case I entered 20 prints.
