Cityscapes and patterns
A scorching hot day in May at Salford Quays…and a clear blue sky meant that the best way to use the light in the early part of the evening was in seeking out pattern pictures. Later on the setting sun gave some lovely colours and tones to the buildings at Media City. The last three pictures, including the two panoramas, were processed with HDR from five bracketed exposures.

Whitby
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to take a unique picture at the Whitby Goth Festival. No sooner do you set someone up take your shot than a dozen or more photographers appear at your shoulder eagerly snapping away. So, when I saw my chance, I set this up, took my shot and moved on. I hope this one is unique…but I don’t know for sure!
