New Manipulations – Doodling on a Wet Bank Holiday
I had such plans – so many events were happening over the Bank Holiday weekend, but the weather turned bad and my get up and go simply got up and went. Instead I stayed home Saturday and Sunday and did some file fiddling…and a few photoshop manipulations…with the following result. Colour manipulations:

Naughty and Nice
The girls were photographed at the Edinburgh Festival last year and I liked the way they stood together, as if sharing a secret. One is clean and smiling, the other has a more malevolent look and dirty clothes, hence the title. Sitting a helter-skelter at the end of a pier was a risk, but it needed a balance for the girls…and drawing a balloon in Photoshop was a challenge I had never tried before. It’s meant to be a fun picture and I hope that comes across.

Saddleworth Walk: Pots’n’Pans and Alderman
A Sunday afternoon walk Sometimes I think we don’t live in the most convenient place, but I can’t see how we could ever drag ourselves away from our beloved Saddleworth hills. The walk up to Pots’n’Pans from Greenfield is very popular up as far as the war memorial…but go beyond that and the chance of meeting other walkers is more and more unlikely. To this end we set off for a Sunday afternoon walk…starting from Knowle Top, just above our house. It was decided that we should take the most direct (steepest) route up. Bad idea!
