Square Format
I’ve heard people decry the use of the square format – in fact one of my very long standing friends in the world of photography positively hates anything SQUARE and in particular anything with the subject in the centre or with symmetry. She and I are pretty much clones of each other except in this one detail…I quite like the square format. New Manipulations – Doodling on a Wet Bank Holiday
I had such plans – so many events were happening over the Bank Holiday weekend, but the weather turned bad and my get up and go simply got up and went. Instead I stayed home Saturday and Sunday and did some file fiddling…and a few photoshop manipulations…with the following result. Colour manipulations:

Naughty and Nice
The girls were photographed at the Edinburgh Festival last year and I liked the way they stood together, as if sharing a secret. One is clean and smiling, the other has a more malevolent look and dirty clothes, hence the title. Sitting a helter-skelter at the end of a pier was a risk, but it needed a balance for the girls…and drawing a balloon in Photoshop was a challenge I had never tried before. It’s meant to be a fun picture and I hope that comes across.
