West Bay and Burton Bradstock

Here are a few more coastal scenery pictures from the area of Jurassic Coast between West Bay and Burton Bradstock.

To the East of West Bay harbour, within a short walk along the beach, are the cliffs at Burton Bradstock. The cliffs are very dangerous here, being made of sand, inferior oolite and Fuller’s earth. They are very unstable, especially after heavy rain and prone to huge cliff falls, so it is wise to walk along the waterline in this area.

There is a submerged limestone pavement here that becomes exposed at low tide. It has been a place that I have visited many times on my visits to the area and have posted some pictures about a year ago here.

I revisit some my pictures from time to time. This year, with Lightroom CC, I have re-processed a few pictures from several visits to the area, just for fun! so though it might be worth posting a few more.
