Wigan 10 win GB Cup Nature and Open Sections
At then end of my second year with Wigan 10 Foto Club, was very pleased that we have again won both sections of the Great British Cup. This is run by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain for their member clubs. This year almost British GB photo clubs entered the contest in each of the two sections. Cumbria Again
I was driving back from Scotland yesterday in heavy rain, wondering whether to go straight home or stop off somewhere to do some Christmas shopping. As I drove down the M6 south of Penrith, the sky looked a bit brighter over to the south west…so I took a quick detour off the motorway at Shap and made my way over towards Ambleside. With no particular aim in mind (and shopping still on the cards), there looked like a tantalising bright area in the clouds, so I decided to carry on through Ambleside and take the road through Langdale. Cumbria
I had a good couple of days in Cumbria earlier this month. Theoretically the light and colours would provide great opportunities on the two days between giving talks at Keswick, Moreton and Workington. Unfortunately the first day was a complete wash out, with heavy rain throughout most of the day…and the second was, on the whole a bit wishy-washy. Just my luck! Here are a few shots from the second day. It all fuels the wish to go back of course, to capture some better shots 🙁
