Blists Hill Visit
I was very pleased to have a return visit to lecture at Wrekin Arts a couple of weeks ago and stayed overnight with a friend and fellow photographer. Blists Hill isn’t so far away from Wrekin, so I had planned a short visit to the museum on my way home the following day. Being a Saturday, it was quite busy with young families, so getting pictures was a bit of a challenge – as was the lighting as the sun was very strong at times and I had to be patient and wait for “modern dressers” to be out of shot. The greatest challenge was the very low light inside…

Proper Photography :-)
Well, photography doesn’t get much proper than photographing proper rugby 🙂 Today (26th May 2013) I was privileged to accompany Leigh Centurions’ Official Photographer to photograph a home match against Keighley. The Centurions came in with a 62:12 win and, as they were scoring their tries, I was trying to get to grips with sports photography. I’ve just picked out a few of my favourites from the day to show here…but most of all a big thanks to Maurice for putting up with me…I had a really good day! even though I didn’t get any competition winners 😉 The shots are just colour corrected and cropped…a few need a bit…
