L&CPU Competition 2020
Last weekend, the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union ran their 2020 Individuals’ Competition, which is usually held in May. Entry is open to any member of a club in the federation.
This year, the event had been delayed because of (yes, you know what virus). Sadly, the L&CPU were unable to handle a print entry this year…but they were able to run a cut down version of the event, using digital files, with a maximum of 12 images per entrant over three sections. The whole thing was judged over the internet by Ross McKelvie, Bob Given and Brian McClure from Belfast, who worked hard for eight hours with a few short breaks.
“Pepper and Toby go to Sea” was Highly commended and the “Large Red Damselfly” was Commended…and I was completely surprised and delighted to come in overall third position when the results from all three sections were collated. Below are the images that I used. Thank you judges!
The Full scores can be seen on the L&CPU Facebook Page.
Slideshows of each of the three sections are on YouTube, linked below, showing the images that scored 12 or more in the competition. Our thanks to the L&CPU and especially to Adrian for enabling this event to take place:
