Audio Visual
For at least 25 years, I have occasionally dabbled in Audio Visual (AV) production and, for the past few months, I’ve been concentrating on making new AVs, with a mixture of photography and AI generated elements.
AV has always been a minority interest within the amateur photographic community, and while new AI tools may encourage wider participation, that will depend on how readily the AV world embraces them—particularly AI image generation, which is illustration rather than photography. Although some competitions now permit such elements, full acceptance within amateur organisations may be a long way off, if it comes at all.
None of this concerns me. I make these AVs for the enjoyment and challenges they offer and to share them on YouTube. Having long since set aside any ambition for further photographic qualifications, the medium satisfies my desire for new creative demands, from scripting and image-making to creating music, video, and the production process itself.
I am still on a very steep learning curve, but the last few sequences I made show, each time, some improvement in one or more areas…enough to keep me learning. My newest AV YouTube channels are:
- Kirklees Cousins – for proper history AVs
- Chris Widdall AV – for simply entertainment
My latest AV is “The Tears of Rimmon” a tragic Saddleworth Legend about two giants who fall in love with a water nymph…please enjoy viewing it, consider subscribing to either or both channels and share a link to others:
